U20S RUGBY WORLD CUP FINAL

ENGLAND 45-21 IRELAND
MALLENDER JUST DESTROYS IRELAND ON HIS OWN

TRY! (Marchant ’14)

Terrific individual score from the centre. Just side-steps a tackle and Ireland’s defence is too fractured after coping with heavier hitters to stop that kind of pace.

Mallinder adds the conversion to compound the breakthrough.

England 7 Ireland 0

TRY!(Chick ’21)

A monster of a scrum as England steer clear of Porter and go after the tighthead side. Chick pops out the back of a messy mass of men and celebrates a touchdown.
Mallinder is on the money again, and Ireland are back where they started in this tournament – two scores adrift.

England 14 Ireland 0

TRY! (Taylor ’30)

Mallinder adds another conversion after starting the move on the left. Johnny Williams takes the ball into contact and rides the tackle while offloading to Taylor who is able to cruise in.

The Rosebuds are too good

England 21-0 Ireland

HALF-TIME: England 21 Ireland 0

TRY! (Mallinder ’43)

England show another devastating clip of their clinical nature, spinning the turnover wide immediately. The carriers take straight lines and hold the ball in two hands and it’s obvious long before the skipper gets his hands on the ball that the white jerseys are going to convert to overload.

Ireland ripped apart.

England 28-0 Ireland

TRY! (McBurney ’46)

There’s the maul in action! Another smooth attack off the sideline set-piece and the hooker gets over. Johnny McPhillips adds the conversion for good measure.

England 28-7 Ireland

TRY! (Mallinder ’50)

Ireland being punished any time a man tries to step up and hit behind the gainline. Edwards breaks through and has options either side of him to feed a score, he picks the easy pass to Mallinder.

England 35-7 Ireland

TRY! (Daly ’52)

Ah, that’s a sensational try. All created by a brilliant weaving run from Jacob Stockdale who beats three men before giving the honour of the finish to the centre.

McPhillips does well to convert from the right touchline

Engand 35-14 Ireland

PENALTY! England 38 Ireland 14 (Mallinder ’60)

TRY! (Marchant ’68)

Just as we began thinking how great it was to have only conceded the one penalty in the sin-bin period, England rip it up again. Marchant getting in for his second try by claiming a cross-field kick and coolly stepping the last tackle.

England 45-14 Ireland

TRY! (Deegan ’79)

There he is, Ireland’s player of the tournament wouldn’t be kept out of the game entirely. Picks up Porter’s quick ball on the line and dives through for the third green try.

Connon comes up with a superb conversion.

25-6-16 TEST SERIES

SATURDAY
NEW ZEALAND 46-6 WALES
BARRET DOUBLE WINS WALES TEST SERIES

First-half tries by wing Ben Smith and centre George Moala were followed by Beauden Barrett going over.

Fly-half Barrett added a second in a 26-point haul with hooker Dane Coles and Israel Dagg also touching down.

ENGLAND 44-40 AUSTRILIA
HAYLETT PETTY TRY GIVES ENGLAND EPIC 3-0 WIN

England completed a series whitewash in Australia with victory in a pulsating third and final Test in Sydney.

The Wallabies led by a point at half-time courtesy of the boot of Bernard Foley, after Dan Cole and Mike Brown had crossed for England, and Foley and Dane Haylett-Petty for the hosts.

Michael Hooper and Israel Folau tries cancelled out a Billy Vunipola score.

But Owen Farrell's boot kept England in touch and Jamie George's try helped them to a record score and a 3-0 win.

England have shown again that they are the team to watch out for in Europe but this showed that they can win ba match like thiswhich can only be seen as a good thing as theese are the matches the people want to watch as they are rediculasully exciting as they go gback and fourth. I think England could do well in the six nations

SOUTH AFRICA 19-13 IRELAND
IRELAND CENTIMETRES AWAY FROM IMORTALITY

South Africa's Willie le Roux was lucky to escape with a yellow card for an early tackle on Tiernan O'Halloran.

Luke Marshall's try put Ireland briefly in the lead but JP Pietersen gathered Elton Jantjies' cross-field kick to put the Springboks ahead at half-time.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/36608687

This was the Irish cance to becomne legends even with their first away win in a test series down under but the Irish must see this with disapointment as it is a loss that the could have win whether on a referees desission or bad decisisions made just before the end this is a chance they might never get again.

18-6-16 RUGBY

AUSTRILIA 7-23 ENGLAND
HATLEY TRY SECURE ENGLAND TEST WIN

England produced a heroic defensive display to earn their first series win in Australia with victory in the second Test in Melbourne.

England took a 10-0 lead through Dylan Hartley's try and an Owen Farrell conversion and penalty but Australia hit back via Stephen Moore's try.

Farrell's second penalty gave England a six-point lead in the second half.

They then had to survive relentless Australian attacks before Farrell crossed to wrap up victory late on.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/36557956

England have shown they they have the class to beat nearly anyone in the world and I do not think too many people will look at the world cup when comparing this team to othersw but for Englandd winning a few 6 natiohns would be what would shut the fans up.

NEW ZEALAND 36-22 WALES

B SMITH SEES NEW ZEALAND LOOK TO BE ON FIRE

New Zealand produced another dominant second-half performance to crush battling Wales in Wellington.

Alun Wyn Jones' 38th-minute try tied the scores 10-10 at the interval.

But, inspired by replacement fly-half Beauden Barrett, the All Blacks scored four tries after the break - Ben Smith, Barrett, Waiseke Naholo and Ardie Savea crossing.

Liam Williams and Jonathan Davies scored in a late flurry, but Wales have now not beaten the Kiwis in 28 games.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/36560438

New Zealand have shown that they can blow a team away in an instant and they can also play the close game as well. New Zeraland show themselves to be the best team in the world. New Zealand are getting stronger but Wales still believe that thay cqan win the third test as it would be tight again.

SOUTH AFRICA 32-26 IRELAND

DE ALANDE LEAVES TO INCREDABLE SECOND BHALF

Fourteen-man Ireland prevaled last weekend and led 19-3 at half-time at Ellis Park.

But the Springbok replacements injected much-needed urgency and the hosts eventually outscored Ireland four tries to two to deserve their victory.

Ireland were chasing a first series win in South Africa but could still make history in Port Elizabeth next weekend.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/36563531

Ireland lost this game rather than South Africa winning it and Ireland need to show a sense of improvement going into the final test as in the last bit of the seccond test we saw a different South Africa and Ireland would not want to play that team next week.

13-6-16 ireland beat southafrica with only 14

SOUTH AFRICA 20-26 IRELAND

BEST TRY SHOWS HE IS UP FOR THE JOB

Pat Lambie missed an early penalty attempt to put the Springboks in front, the traffic was largely one-way and it was the tourists who drew first blood when referee Mathieu Raynal punished the hosts for pulling down a lineout drive.

Rory Best went to the corner and, again, the maul came down. Iain Henderson carried the advantage at the home side, before Luke Marshall deftly chipped the ball in behind for Jared Payne to dot down.

It was to be a double-blow for the home side who lost Lood de Jager to the sin-bin for the maul offence as Jackson converted the try.

Things turned in the South Africans' direction on 22 minutes, however, as Ireland's early good work was undone by a red card for Stander.

Raynal reviewed the incident several times, before concluding that the 26-year-old had been reckless and reached for his pocket.

Lambie was forced off and despite losing their number 10, the home side scented blood and Elton Jantjies narrowed the gap to four with a penalty before a piece of deft skill saw the Lions star put Lwazi Mvovo over.

And things got worse for Ireland as the referee reviewed the footage and found that Robbie Henshaw had gone high and late on Jantjies after the pass, so he was handed 10 minutes in the sin-bin as the conversion sailed over.

Despite playing the rest of the half with 13 men, Ireland somehow managed to go in level as Jackson landed an opportunistic drop-goal before Conor Murray brilliantly denied a Duane Vermeulen charge and Jackson forced Mvovo into touch.

Slick hands from Payne saw Andrew Trimble make gains up the right, his inside pass was touched by Willie le Roux and captain Best pounced with a big carry.

Murray picked and went, slipping De Jager's tackle to put his side in front.

Jackson converted and almost added another try when he slipped inside Frans Malherbe and chipped ahead, but Faf de Klerk was too quick for him and averted the danger.

Indeed, Jackson came close to making it a two-score game with a long-range penalty, but his effort came back off the post.

He made no mistake with his next effort from closer range, but South Africa hit back instantly when Pieter-Steph du Toit intercepted the fly-half's pass and raced in under the posts

P Pietersen looked like he might have scored with the clock having ticked past 80, but a combination of Payne, Henshaw and Jackson forced him into touch.

This was an amazing win for Ireland as it showed that they can do very well witjhout players like Johnny Sexton and Paul O Conell when it comes to playing abroad and maybe a new generation can come through for Japan but to me now they must go and win the series now and make some form of history as this is a week South Africa and I deffinitely think it can be done. You you have got to see the positive in this as South Afreica and not the negative.

11-6-16 enand beat austrilia

AUSTRILIA 28-39 ENGLAND

YARDE GIVES ENGLAND FIRST TEST
England beat the Wallabies for only the fourth time in Australia as they triumphed in a mighty battle in the first Test in Brisbane.

The win looked unlikely when they fell 10-0 behind early on as Michael Hooper and Israel Folau scored for the hosts.

But the tourists hit back through the boot of Owen Farrell and tries from Jonathan Joseph and Marland Yarde.

Australia rallied as Hooper and Tevita Kuridrani crossed, but Jack Nowell had the final word for England.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/36505323

The first test of the Rugby ashes and it shows that England are a lot stronger now than they were last year when people said they were ready to beat anyone. I think that England can grow into a team for any occasion

wales v new zealand 11-6-16

NZ 37-21 WALES

NAHOTO GIVES WALES NIGHTMARES

Biggar kicks long and Ben Smith runs it back to halfway. Naholo jinks and makes good ground, breaking the tackle as New Zealand have done with alarming regularity so far. Left and Aaron Smith snipes round the short side, up to the 22. They recycle and Cruden kicks across for Naholol; it’s into touch but Wales were offside further back.

Penalty (Cruden 5) New Zealand 3-0 Wales

This one’s right in front, 30 metres out and easy as they come for Cruden
Try! (Faletau 9) New Zealand 3-5 Wales

Chipped ahead and Smith spills it! Wales have it on the 22 and go right to Liam Williams, who slips round Naholo. Wales have numbers left and sling it left, with Coles pulled out of the line and causing an overlap, and Faletau finishes it with aplomb in the corner!

(Savea 15) New Zealand 8-5 Wales

Retallick taps it down but the ball is scrappy and New Zealand have to reset. Lovely hands from Fekitoa send it wide to Naholo and he scorches down the right before giving it back inside to the centre, who offloads to Crotty. New Zealand up to within five in a flash and they recycle left. Cruden sends it high and Savea gathers in goal on the left before dotting down.

Converted try! (Naholo 18 + Cruden con) New Zealand 15-5 Wales

Jones secures it at the lineout and Biggar goes high, but this time Ben Smith takes cleanly and goes away from his own 22! This is ridiculous, it’s popped to Cruden and he picks Naholo cutting inside from the right. In seconds the All Blacks have gone 80 metres and under the posts.

L Williams looks to run back but he’s stopped on halfway. Biggar goes on and into a massive collision with Read.
Penalty (Biggar 21) New Zealand 15-8 Wales

Over it goes and Wales are within a score

it’s blocked by the foot of Ben Smith but ricochets into a Kiwi hand and Wales have another penalty.
Penalty (Biggar 26) New Zealand 15-11 Wales

From 30 metres out and just to the left, Biggar sends it twix the posts.
TRY (Webb 31) New Zealand 15-16 Wales

The ball shoots out the side of a ruck in midfield with no one on the New Zealand side noticing and Moriarty hacks ahead. Ben Smith kicks it back but Liam Williams steps brilliantly through the middle yet again. He offloads to Webb, who has just enough pace to shrug off Fekitoa and stretch to the line!

BIGGAR CONVERTS

HT NZ 15-18 WALES

Nz get a penalty under the posts converted by Curden on 48

Biggar Penalty 53

Naholo try 62

Savea Jr comes off the back of the maul and drives to within five metres. They reset and it’s the new openside who goes again to within one. Wales cling on, but we go back for a penalty to the All Blacks for offside. They go quickly and Naholo darts low towards the line and surely he’s over here?
Converted try! (Read 68 + Cruden con) New Zealand 32-21 Wales

Now they go through the phases they’ve been so much better at retaining the ball since A Savea came on for Cane. Suddenly there’s a gap though: Smith fires it to Tuipolotu, who draws Anscombe and gives it to Read to crash over for what must be the winning score.

Try! (Harris 80) New Zealand 37-21 Wales

Wales knocked it on at the breakdown there so we have a scrum to New Zealand, just outside the Welsh 22 as the hooter goes. Tamanivalu uses his strength to smash through a couple of tackles, Crockett and Faumuina carry it on and Nathan Harris, the replacement hooker, bundles over in the corner.

FT NZ 37-21 WALES
https://www.theguardian.com/sport/live/2016/jun/11/new-zealand-v-wales-first-test-live

Wales have shown that they are ready bfor anything but Wales have shown that they can stay in the match like they did uniil half time Wales can compete with New Zealand but as New Zealand showed in this match they are a beast whe let loose.
