16-01-15 European Champions cup

Here is a short piece on Leister V Scarlet’s what has to be done and what I think can happen in this year’s Rugby Champions cup
Team     Played  Won      Drawn   Lost        For         Against Bonus points      Points
Toulon     4             3            0              0              95              64                  1                    17
Scarlet     4             2            0              2              64              68                  0                     8
Leister  4                2            0              2              61              77                 0                     8
Ulster    4                1            0              3              68              79                  2                    6
Leister and the scarlet’s is a play off. If Ulster beat Toloun they are back in this group so no one is out yet. Getting a quarter final spot will be difficult though
FRIDAY POOL 3

LEISTER V SCARLETS 7.45

Freddie Burns replaces Owen Williams at fly-half as Leicester make six changes for the visit of Scarlets on Friday.
Centre Seremaia Bai and lock Brad Thorn start while Michele Rizzo, Logovii Mulipola and Leonardo Ghiraldini form an all-new front row.
Scarlets have a raft of injuries for the European Champions Cup pool game.
Scrum-half Gareth Davies, hookers Ken Owens and Emyr Phillips and full-back Liam Williams are out but flanker Aaron Shingler returns from a shoulder knock.
Props Samson Lee and Rhodri Jones, winger Michael Tagicakibau (hamstring) and Wales Under-20 centre Steffan Hughes (serious knee injury) are also out.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/30795302
I feel that this will be a win for Leicester but scarlet’s will get the bonus point
SATURDAY POOL 3
TOLOUN V ULSTER

I

feel that Ulster could make this a match but a win would be almost impossible

SATURDAY POOL 1

Team     Played  Won      Drawn   Lost        For         Against Bonus Point        Points
Clermaunt           4              3              0              1              100         61           2              14
Saracens              4              3              0              1              80           67           1              13
Munster              4              2              0              2              69           71           2              10
Sale                      4                0              0              4              59           109         2              2
Munster are still playing for a quarter final place but to do that they must beat Saracens on Saturday if they do not they are out. Clermaunts fate at the top is nit sealed yet 2 wins might not be enough

SARACENS V MUNSTER

I think that this tie could go either way and I feel that whoever loses will get the bonus point. I think that Saracens home advantage will give them the win
SALE V CLERMOUNT

This is a must win for Clermount but I feel that Sale will not make it easy and either team could win this but Clermount will be too strong in the end

LEINSTER V CASTRE

I think that Leinster will find this match to be easy. I think that this will be a bit of a match but Leinster have too much and if they lose it they will have problems

Racing need to beat Trviso and get the bonus point.. If Northampton beat the Ospreys it should be enough but if the Ospreys win they are right back in the group
OSPREYS V NORTHAMPTON

This is going to be a real battle and I just think that Northampton will have enough to win
RACING V TREVISO

This should be a Racing win and things should be easy for them
