11-9-14 ulster rugby first blog

My name is Barry Jordan I am 30 years old and I hope to take you through to the 2015 Rugby world cup in England next year. . I will try to do something every day. I hope to focus on both Ulster and Ireland this year as it will be a big year for both.  I will focus on the European cup and the Celtic league. I come from a small village called Eglish close to Dungannan( the place where Steven Ferris came from).  I have got other biogs which you can look at and I will try to fill when a big tournament is on (masters snooker, Australian Open, Cricket world cup etc). But I do hope to do the blogs on Ulster on the Friday and Mondays. I will be trying to do a Tv blog during the week if you care to look at it.

On Fridays I will look at each hopefully with the team and what I think can happen match and on Monday I will review the match itself. I also hope to be able to review a few of the Ulster team players during the week as well.

Ulster played 2 matches a pre-season before playing the Scarlet’s last Saturday afternoon. Ulster was disappointed as the lost to Exeter Chiefs by 1 point in their first game so disappointing. Ulster having control until Exeter scored a try in the last minute to win. Ulster also played Leinster in the pre-season friendly

Ulster came back to get an incredible draw against Llanethli Scarlet’s in the first game of the Pro 12 as they drew 32-32 with them both teams scored the 4 tries and Ulster could have lost this with no bonus point losing by 27 to 15 thanks to 2 tries from Gareth Davies who made his competitive début but they were able to come back. Andrew Trimble and Ludic being the 2 heroes that were able to both get Ulster the bonus point and the draw. Thanks to a vital conversion from Ian Humpries and had a penalty to win before the whistle blew.
