rugby world cup week 3 review 05-10-15

This needs to be explained to the people who do not understand there are 4 points for a win one for losing by less than 7 and one for scoring 5 tries or more

Australia and Wales play on Saturday for the right to top pool A and I feel that this will be a very interesting match. England who have had a disappointing world cup know that a win against Uruguay will seal there spot in Japan 2019 but beyond that this was a major disappointment for them.

South Africa can seal a spot in the quarter finals on Wednesday on top of the pool with any sort of win and Scotland can seal a spot in the quarters also with any sort of win

New Zealand can seal top spot with a win on Friday against Tonga but Tonga showed against Argentina that they will not roll over easily. If Argentina beat Namibia on Sunday they will get second spot in the group

Ireland play France in the match of the week but with Ireland having so much difficulty against Italy will they find the strength to win this one as the looser will probably play New Zealand in the quarter final.

RESULT OF THE WEEK

The result of the week in my opinion was when Japan knocked Samoa out of the world cup with a win

TEAM OF THE WEEK

This honour goes to the performance of Australia and the way that when the games was won they did not stop and began to want to control the game more and more towards the end and I am sure that Foleys boot would have beaten anyone that day

MOMENT OF THE WEEK

I am going to go for the Sanchez try in the second half against Tonga why because this is the moment that Argentina began to show their quality in this match against Tonga and probable the moment when Argentina secured their quarter final spot

PREFORMANCE OF THE WEEK

I am going to give this performance of the week to Ireland getting over Italy and when it was tight they knew what it was that they needed to do knowing that they needed to kick as Italy would just never give up.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

There are 2 performances for me that deserve this honour one is Australia’s Foley for his performance against England and Savea for his hat trick against Georgia and I would like to give it to Foley as the quality of opposition was much higher
