Roger came back from England as a top no 8 and got his spot for Ireland.
He played school rugby at RBAI and was a member of the 1998 and 2000 schools cup winning teams. He progressed through the ranks and made his Ulster debut in September 2003 against the Ospreys. His outstanding form in his first spell with Ulster was rewarded with 2  Ulster Player of the Year Awards in 3 years from 2004-2006
Roger won his first Irish cap in June 2005 on the tour to Japan, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, Harry McKibbin and his two uncles, Harry Jnr and Alastair, who have all represented Ireland.
Wilson is a very durable player, demonstrated during the 2006/07 campaign when he didn't miss a single game for Ulster, accumulating 1,591 minutes on the pitch and 26 appearances.
Roger was a key member of the Northampton team that won the European Challenge Cup in 2009 and the LV Cup in 2010. He was also imprtan when they lost to Leinster in the Heineken cup.
Although his first season back at Ravenhill was disrupted by injury he still manage to play 13 times, scoring a try.
With his many achievements it is a surprise to many that he has just one cap to his name. He represented Ireland against Japan in June 2005.
He played for the barbarians against England in 2014 and was named in the world 15 you would think that form like this would get Jo Schmidt to think of you

Career
He played school rugby at RBAI and was a member of the 1998 and 2000 schools cup winning teams. He held down a regular starting spot in the Ulster XV after his debut in September 2003 against the Ospreys and claimed the Ulster Player of the Year Award 2 three years between 2004 and 2006
Wilson played every game for Ulster in the 2006–07 season and accumulated the most minutes on the pitch (1,591 minutes and 26 caps). He was again selected for the Ireland A Churchill Cup Tour in June 2007.
Wilson was named Bank of Ireland Player of the Year for the 2006–07 season.

Roger has got over 50 caps for Northampton.  On 18 January 2012 Ulster announced that Wilson was able to go back home
Roger won his first Irish cap in June 2005 on the tour to Japan
I feel that Roger Wilson should get more caps for Ireland going into the world cup. I feel that his importance is lessoned due to this and I think if the team was selected on merit Wilson could have 25 caps by now
do you think Wilson should have more Ireland caps?
