1 New Zealand
With out a doubt the best team in the world and anything less than a world cup final would be a disappointment
2 England
They are the hosts of this tournament so I think that they are the most prepared to win this World Cup and they looked good against Ireland but I think that home advantage could be a big factor in this world cup
3 South Africa
I think that the super 12s is the best league in the world and I think that they always seem to have quality coming through
4 Australia
They are always a team that know how to get the job done. I think the fact that they have won 2 world cups is something that makes them more experienced and better
5 France
There is not a better example in world sport of the good performance followed by the bad in a matter of days than France but if they get things right they could be champions
6 Ireland
As high as they are in the world rankings they have never reached the world cup semi final and with disappointing losses to Wales and England this does say Ireland are on a bit of a downer at the moment
7 Argentina
This is a team that is definitely improving in the 4 nations and they are ones to watch out for in the competition but I feel that they will find it difficult in the knockout stages and will be happy to reach the semis
8 Wales
This is a team that will find it very difficult to get out of their group but if they do I feel that they would have the confidence to reach the semi finals
9 Samoa
A team who are definitely improving and bringing their brand of rugby more and more to the popular nations as they are definitely very hard to beat but I do think if they reach the semis they will be ecstatic
10 Scotland
They are definitely a team on the up with Glasgow Warriors doing so well in the pro 12 I think that they have got a half chance but will again find it difficult getting out of their group.
If anyone beyond these teams wins the world cup I would be very surprised
