SATURDAY
POOL 1
MUNSTER 38-0 LEICESTER
TAUTE DOUBLE KEEPS MUNSTER ON TOP
The Pool One game was over by half-time after fly-half Tyler
Bleyendaal's 14 points and a Simon Zebo try.
Jaco Taute added two second-half tries and also created the
late penalty try as he was hauled down by George Worth.
Munster still has that game against Racing to play. After
that death but they are showing that there is no one that they can’t beat at
the moment but going to France should make a huge difference to them.
RACING 14-23 GLASGOW
An early converted try from Juan Imhoff put the hosts in
front but two Finn Russell penalties cut the gap to one.
The Warriors repelled several Racing line-out drives and a
patient attack saw Alex Dunbar put through to score.
Ali Price touched down from close in on the resumption,
Russell's conversion and a third penalty taking Glasgow 23-7 clear before Dan
Carter's late try.
But the All Blacks great could not muster a late turnaround
for last year's beaten finalists and French champions Racing, who are pointless
after two games.
This win has definitely put Glasgow in the hunt for a
quarter final spot and with having the best in the world playing for them you
would expect better from Glasgow. I do think now Glasgow are showing the signs
of improvement needed to get out of the group.
