SUNDAY
SCARLETS 22-21 TOULON
WILLIAMS TRY SECURES WIN FOR SCARLETS
Scott Williams went over for the only try in the opening
period and the hosts led 16-9 at the break.
Home fly-half Rhys Patchell kicked 17 points.
Halfpenny scored all of the visitors' points, but his late,
long-range miss was one of four failed shots at goal.
This would be a famous win for the Scarlets as they were not
expected to get anything against one of the best sides in the world. This
defeat could have knocked Toulon out of the Champions Cup but we will learn
this in January

EARLE TRY SECURES SARACENS WIN
The defending champions led 6-3 at the break through two
penalties from England fly-half Owen Farrell.
Farrell and Nathan Earle crossed late in the second half to
open up a 24-3 lead, before Bryn Evans' consolation.
This win for me was a disappointment as Saracens had shown
in other world right now but this was a disappointment. They could play a lot better than this. A win
would seal qualification to the quarters but you wonder with a performance like
this whether they can do it as if they play like this they will lose to a big
boy
