POOL2
SATURDAY
After an early exchange of penalties - Carlo Canna scoring
two, either side of one from Sebastien Bezy - put the hosts 6-3 up, the French
side took complete control of the contest, running in five tries to secure a
bonus point.#
Arthur Bonneval crossed twice, with efforts from Gael
Fickou, Joe Tekori and Yoann Huget coming in between and Bezy adding four
conversions.
This win was expected in this match between a giant of
French Rugby and the minors of the group and it might all go do down to the
match between Connacht and Toulouse in January as Wasps seem to show us what
they can do. I would love to see Connacht qualify for the quarters to put
another side on that li9st at the very least but the French side do have a lot
to sort out as years ago teams worried about playing them not so much now.
SUNDAY
WASPS 32-17 CONNACHT
BASSETT GIVES WASPS BONUS POINT
Connacht were in the game up until Joe Launchbury scored the
third of Wasps' four tries, Nathan Hughes and Josh Bassett also going over for
the hosts.
Kieran Marmion and Rory Parata scored tries for Connacht.
However, Jack Carty missed two penalties as the Irish club
were beaten in Europe for the first time this season.
Wasps, who started the day two points behind Pool Two
leaders Connacht, are now three points ahead of them after the bonus-point win.
Wasps seem to be on fire at the moment getting a bonus point
in this match as Connacht have shown that in periods they can compete and it
gives you hope that Connacht can win at home nexst week.
