RACING 34-LEICESTER
ANDREU TRIES SHOW RACING COULD COMPETE
Racing, the 2016 runners-up, had been winless in this year's
campaign but led through tries from Xavier Chauveau, Marc Andreu and Gerbrandt
Grobler.
A penalty try and Andreu's second after the break, along
with nine points from the boot of Dan Carter, consigned the Tigers to a fourth
consecutive defeat.
This was a match that to most people was null and void as Leicester
were expected to win to go into the last match with a sense of hope now this bad result puts Leicester out but we can
not ignore the quality that Racing have as this showed what they could do when
there is no pressure on them
GLASGOW 12-14 MUNSTER
SAILI PUTS MUNSTER IN QUARTERS
The hosts led 12-9 in a tourniquet-tight match with four
penalties - three from Finn Russell, one from Stuart Hogg - to three from Tyler
Bleyendaal.
But Hogg's yellow card, for a high tackle in stopping Andrew
Conway from scoring, saw Munster capitalise.
Francis Saili powered over in the corner to book a
last-eight spot.
Munster
in this match showed why they are a team to watch out for in this seasons
Champions Cup as they won a very close match against Scottish side Glasgow and
they showed that when push came to shove they could get themselves over the
line
