TOLON 27-12 SALE
TUISOVA TRY GIVES TOULON BONUS POINT WIN
Sam James' converted try cancelled out Ma'a Nonu's opener to
give the Sharks a 7-5 first-half advantage.
A Leigh Halfpenny penalty and Bryan Habana's score restored
the lead for the three-time champions.
And although Rob Webber's try narrowed the gap, Jonathan
Pelissie and Josua Tuisova went over in the last two minutes while Sale were
down to 14 men.
This win makes me think that there is more to this Toulon
team than we know and that they will find things a lot easier against Saracens
but there does seem to be a gap between 8th and 9th but
Toulon do look comfortable in 7th position
SCARLETS 22-22 SARACENS
ASHTON TRIES MAKE SURE SARIEES STAY UNBEATEN
Scarlets led 9-5 after an absorbing first half as three Dan
Jones penalties cancelled out Nathan Earle's try.
Chris Ashton crossed to bring the visitors level before
Scott Williams picked a yawning gap in the Saracens defence to restore the
hosts' lead.
Scarlets were denied a famous win as Ashton scored with the
final play of the game to seal Saracens' progress.
Saracens do look to be the strongest at the moment as they
remain the only team that is unbeaten and I think that the match with Toulon
they will still have their strongest team on side as for the Scarlets this draw
must be heart-breaking as they came from a real chance of reaching the quarters
to now having no chance.
