TEAM OF THE TOURNMAMENT

There are 3 teams for me that should be discussed for this honours first the obvious the World Champions New Zealand. Next is Scotland who has shown such an improvement this year and they deserved to beat Australia in the quarters and probably deserves the honour of most improved side. The third team is Japan.

I have to go for New Zealand as they show time and time again that they are the best.

Again there are two matches the Australia match with Scotland and Japans match with South Africa but purely for the fact that people are still arguing about it now I would have to go with Australia beating Scotland by the penalty in the quarter final.

RESULT OF THE TOURNAMENT

Japans win over South Africa has to take this honour as it was a major surprise at the time but South Africa managed to get over it to top there group

PLAYER OF THE TOURNAMENT

 

There are 2 Players for me Milner- Skudder the young up and coming player or the experienced Dan Carter. For4 his and of the match performance in the world cup final I would have to go for Dan

MOMENT OF THE TOURNAMENT

That moment when Japan scored the try to beat South Africa in the last play of the match that result was incredible

PREFORMANCE OF THE TOURNAMENT

In my opinion this has to go to Ireland’s second half against France with three of their best players out this was a big win for them after having 3 players being taken off at half time.

COACH OF THE TOURNAMENT

Steve Hansen for winning the world cup is the obvious target my second nomination is Australia’s Michael Cheika for taking a team in bad shape and getting them to a world cup final. My third and the deserved winner is Japans Eddie Jones for getting a team of whopping boys and making them competitive against the big guns ie South Africa, Scotland

REFEREE OF THE TOURNAMENT

Welshman Nigel Owens after refereeing the world cup final we can understand him clearly and what he says and how he is saying it as he is miked up.

DISAPOINTMENT OF THE TOURNAMENT

For me there are 2 teams that are in contention first are Ireland who had a horrible performance against Argentina and for that probably deserve the honour of worst performance of the world cup. Is the next generation ready to do the next job I’m not sure am going to go with England who could not get out of the group phase of their own world cup.
