Blues 20-32 Harliquins
CARE TRY GIVES QUINS
BONUS POINT
The hosts seemed to benefit from their continuity in
selection, dominating the early exchanges and leading 6-0 thanks to two Rhys
Patchell penalties
But they had to settle for a Ben Botica penalty to halve
their deficit.
The breakthrough came 10 minutes into the second half, as
wing Visser intercepted a loose pass from Kristian Dacey and scampered clear
from the halfway line.
The Blues' defence was similarly sloppy 90 seconds later, as
full-back Lindsay-Hague skipped past several would-be tacklers to saunter over
for a converted try which put his side 20-6 ahead.
England scrum-half
Care came on to deftly create a try for Walker.
Cardiff were given a slither of hope when they were awarded
a penalty try with 10 minutes left after a rolling maul was brought down
illegally.
A red card for Rees' apparent stamp on Easter's head made
their task even tougher, although replacement prop Hobbs did bundle his way
over to make it 25-20.
With the final play of the game, Care sped over in the
corner to score Harlequins' fourth try, securing a bonus point and denying the
Blues theirs

Gloster
BILLY TWELVETREES
DOUBLE PUTS GLOSTER ON TOP OF GROUP
Ben Morgan's solo try for the visitors was quickly cancelled
out by Julien Audy in a lively opening 10 minutes.
Gloucester's 19-13 half-time lead was helped by 14 points
from the boot of Greig Laidlaw, but Jason Eaton's try edged the hosts ahead
after the break.
Two ties in the last nine minutes from replacement Stephen
McColl and Charlie Sharples won it for Gloucester.
Laidlaw's penalty gave the visitors an early lead before
Fabien Fortassin responded for the hosts.
The first try went Gloucester's way as Morgan spotted a gap
and beat the last man, Laidlaw adding the extras.
The hosts hit back four minutes later when Elliot Roudil fed
Audy on the inside to go over and Fortassin's conversion levelled the scores.
Three Laidlaw penalties were replied to on the stroke of
half-time by Fortassin, which meant Gloucester led by six at the break.
But the hosts turned that deficit around when Eaton ran in
and Fortassin's conversion gave his side a one-point advantage.
Gloucester won it when great work from the backs sent McColl
in to go over, while Sharples scored a brilliant solo try. Billy Twelvetrees
converted both to seal the win.
